One of our clients’ top concerns is “Is the procedure painful?” The answer is: probably not.
Topical anesthetic is used for all procedures, which eliminates most of the discomfort. Many people describe the sensation as “prickly.” While some clients do experience higher levels of discomfort depending on their pain tolerance, the majority of our clients leave their session relatively pain-free.
Following your permanent makeup procedure, you will be instructed to use a lubricant for one to two weeks, depending on your procedure. You will be able to apply traditional makeup on your brows and eyes after four days, and on your lips after ten days. If any touchups are required, you will need to wait four weeks for brows and six weeks for lips to perfect your look.
It is best not to make big plans or attend an event where you want to look your best right after your procedure. We recommend waiting five days for brows and eyeliner, and ten days for lips. These areas will be tender and swollen for a few days following your procedure and additionally, the color will oxidize immediately after the application and may look darker than your desired effect.
